Prototype 2

I had picked up the original Prototype on release day but after beating the game, I traded it in. It is not that I didn't like Prototype, I mean its pretty much Grand Theft Auto with super powers but that also means that I cant help but compare it to the amazing inFAMOUS series. I was excited to pick up the sequel to if it made improvements from the first game and I have to say, it was much better.

Rumors have been circling for weeks, if not months, about Sony's upcoming take on the classic Smash Brothers series. The game, titled Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale (PASBR? PBR? They should have a better acronym), is set to launch Holiday of this year and contains some of the iconic Playstation characters. The only confirmed characters so far are as follows: Fat Princess, Parappa the Rapper, Sly Cooper, Sweet Tooth, Colonel Radec, and Kratos. There will be plenty more first party fighters along with a few third party as well when the game finally launches. There will also be full four player splitscreen along with online battles and a story mode.

PSVita Gets Skype and PS+ May Preview
Hello Everyone,
I am pleased to announce that Skype will be releasing today on the Playstation Store! Just like all versions of Skype, it will be available for free on both the Wifi and 3G models. The app contains video and voice calling along with the ability to call landlines, if you feel like paying. The app will also run in background mode, allowing you to play your favorite games while waiting for a Skype call. While Skype may not be that killer app, its nice to finally have the video chat application available to download.

Suda51's most recent release is the Kinect required, arcade game Diabolical Pitch. As previously stated I happen to be a huge Suda 51 fan so writing another article of on his games is very exciting for me. This time Suda51 changes pace a little bit by bringing us a baseball game? Well, while baseball is a part of the game, this is no ordinary baseball game.

God of War: Ascension Confirmed
Hello Everyone,
In a recent article, I discussed a short teaser that hinted at the next God of War game. With job postings and other rumors floating around, it has been no secret that there has been a God of War game in development. Today, the next game in the series has finally been confirmed as God of War: Ascension. There is a short teaser trailer available that features the usual Gaia narration along with hints that the game will be a prequel, perhaps taking place when Kratos lead the Spartan army. It would be an interesting twist to play as Kratos without the Blades of Chaos or Godly powers. Check out the trailer below and stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.
So, what do you all think? Will this be a full on prequel featuring Kratos without the Blades, or will this fit in someplace else in the God of War timeline.

Three New Apps Headed to the PSVita
Hello Everyone,
It is a well known fact that the Playstation Vita has been lacking on the application front. We have yet to receive support for Playstation Classic games, a fully integrated Playstation Store, or even Skype. Sony aims to start bringing the Vita into the world of apps with what we all have wanted from the beginning: Paint Park, Treasure Park, and Wake Up Club </sarcasm>. Although not really on the top of anyones list for the Playstation Vita, the three apps are going to make their way onto the Vita for free over the coming weeks, with Paint Park launching today.

Exclusive: Aliens: Colonial Marines Single Player
Aliens: Colonial Marines was not a game I had on my radar heading into PAX. I knew it existed and had been following the news revolving around the game, but it never made it to that point of excitement that say, Hawken had. That said, going in I was not expecting much. However, I was very interested in the fact that the Gearbox studio head, Randy Pitchford, would be giving the gameplay demo himself.

Mass Effect 3 DLC

Earlier this week the Resurgance DLC pack was released for Mass Effect 3. This multiplayer DLC contained two new maps, some new weapons and a plethora of new characters including two new species: the Geth and Batarians. While none of this content is a "game changer," I personally love having new characters to play as along with new guns to shoot down the baddies in the new areas.

Asura's Wrath

I know that Asura’s Wrath has been out for almost a month now, but this week I finally was able to pick it up and play through it. Know this before reading further, this is not a review for the game. I will give my opinion and ideas of it but I didn’t play the game even thinking I’d be writing about it. I will try to keep this as spoiler free as possible, because I hate spoilers.

This is my very first article for A.T.G. which already makes this a special article in my heart. But, there is another reason why this is special to me. My first article is about the Lollipop Chainsaw demo I played at PAX East 2012! I am a huge Suda51 fan and playing this game along with meeting my favorite developer Goichi Suda himself made me smile like a giddy school girl. Well speaking of school girls, let’s talk about Lollipop Chainsaw.

I live on the East Coast and I am a huge gamer. I own the Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, as well as the 3DS. Although I own all the consoles, I have to admit that I play my Xbox more than anything else. Most of my friends and family play on Xbox, so it is a great way to keep in touch while I am in college. I do not know how often I'll be writing articles for the simple reason of other responsibilities. I plan on writing about anything I find interesting or exciting in the gaming world.

First up, has God of War 4 been teased by Sony? An image posted on Sony's Facebook Page would lead you to think so. It reads, "Will Vengeance Bring Redemption?" and God of War's story has always been about seeking vengeance on the Gods to earn Kratos' personal redemption. It is unknown if this is even a Vita game, a PS3 game, or even a God of War game at all.

Exclusive: Far Cry 3 Multiplayer

Over the last few days I got the chance to go hands on with Ubisoft's upcoming Far Cry 3. The set for the game was beautiful. Fake trees surrounded the gaming rigs that were set up on a makeshift dock. Netting was strung over the walls and the workers were dressed as the Pirates and Rebels, straight from the game. Some people argue that these environments are just to catch your eye, but I would have to respectfully disagree. It feels pretty awesome to play on Far Cry 3's beautifully rendered island while surrounded by a beautiful island set.

Free to play Mech combat game, Hawken, held its own private event the first day of PAX East 2012 in the back of a sports bar/bowling alley. This was the first time that Hawken has ever been demo'd. To anyone. I got to go hands on before the major press and big conventions could get their paws on it. Knowing that, I had already started to gain respect for those at Meteor and Adhesive. The developers are truly making this game for the fans and the only things they asked of us was to play the game and for our honest feedback. They wanted to know, down to the smallest detail, what we liked and what we hated.

How To Get Rid Of Those Pesky Gamestop Stickers

Hey Everyone,
I am sure the first thing you noticed when coming on the site today is that there have been some major changes to how everything looks. I decided to work with some lighter colors to bring forth a more elegant feel. Let me know if you like the new layout or if you would prefer to revert to the old one.
I also changed the header of the site to include "@ PAX East". If you are unaware, I will be attending PAX East over this coming weekend. All of the sites content for the next week will be centered around PAX (unless of course something big happens). If you are attending PAX feel free to say hello! I am 6'4" and will be wearing an All Things Gaming sweatshirt. Stay tuned to the site for photos, videos, and impressions on this years hottest games. Following PAX I will be holding giveaways for all the swag I can get my hands on so be sure to check back next week for information on that.
I am currently planning on getting the unanswered requests up tonight as well. Be sure to check back later tonight or tomorrow for those.
